FAQ

1. What is the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?

Counseling generally focuses on specific issues and is often shorter in duration, providing practical strategies for immediate challenges. Psychotherapy, on the other hand, involves deeper exploration of emotional and psychological issues, often addressing complex mental health disorders and requiring longer-term engagement.

2. Do you offer a sliding scale?

Yes. The regular rate for our experienced therapists is between $1000 to $1800 per session. We also provide affordable rates through our fresh counselors (with less than 5 years of experience), with sessions ranging from $700 to $999.

3. How long is the whole treatment??

The duration of treatment varies depending on individual needs and goals. Short-term counseling might last a few weeks, while psychotherapy may extend over several months or even longer, depending on the complexity of the issues being addressed.

4. What types of therapy do you offer?**

We offer a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), emotional focused therapy (EFT), and person-centered therapy. Our therapists tailor methods to best fit each individual’s needs.

5. Can I schedule a session online?

While we prefer to conduct our first session in person to establish a strong therapeutic relationship, we understand that some clients may have specific needs that require flexibility. If you feel that an online session is necessary, we can consider switching from an in-person session to an online format, provided that both you and the counselor/therapist agree on this arrangement.

6. What should I expect in my first session?

In your first session, you will engage in an initial assessment where we discuss your goals, concerns, and background. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions and determine if our approach aligns with your needs.

7. Are sessions confidential?

Yes, all sessions are confidential. We adhere to strict ethical guidelines to protect your privacy and maintain confidentiality, except in cases where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.
